Norfolk  An enjoyable holiday in Norfolk staying in holiday lodges close to the Norfolk Broads. As well as being famous for its seaside holiday resorts, Norfolk is also renowned for the superb Norfolk countryside. Our excursions will include trips to Blickling Hall and a trip on the Mississippi paddle boat. In addition we will visit Bure Valley Railway and Cromer Pier.

The Southern Comfort Mississippi is a double-deck paddle boat that is purpose built for the Norfolk Broads. The boat is a luxury river cruiser, which runs from the beautiful village of Horning, along the River Bure through the village and out to Ranworth Broad and back, passing by lovely old thatched houses and windmills. Just sit back, relax and enjoy!

Bure Valley Railway  is fast becoming one of England's premier narrow gauge railways. The steam and diesel trains pass through scenery which is as varied, interesting and beautiful as any to be found on a railway journey in England. The two main stations are at Aylsham and Wroxham, with three smaller stations in between.

At Blickling Hall you can go on a journey of discovery and follow four centuries of history. The estate is a treasure trove of beautiful buildings, extensive gardens and landscaped park. From herbaceous formal gardens to the woodland wilderness, there is something for everyone at any time of the year.

The Norfolk seaside town of Cromer, famous for its crabs, boasts one of the first piers to have been built in the 20th century. Visit the RNLI ‘s all weather lifeboat station at the end of the pier. There is also a museum which features historic photographs, paintings, models and memorabilia. Visit the RNLI gift shop.
