Built as a country home in the
mid-15th century,
Herstmonceux Castle boasts a magnificent moat and is
undoubtedly one of the finest examples of brick-built
castle still standing in England today. Delightful gardens and a
nature trail surround the castle which also houses a visitor centre,
tea room and a gift shop. |
Brighton’s most striking landmark, the
Royal Pavilion has been part of the city landscape since the
18th
century. The ornate Indo-Chinese themed palace was one of the homes
of the Prince Regent, later King
George
IV.
