Chateau
de Miromesnil. The chateau is set in beautiful wooded
countryside and has a potager (vegetable garden). It was the
birthplace of Guy de Maupassant. We will enjoy tea and home made
French cakes after viewing this stunning building and its
surrounding gardens. |
We depart from
St-Valery-sur-Somme a
charming little town and old walled centre to board the steam
train through to Le Crotoy. The train trundles through lowlands
reclaimed from the sea. Whilst on board look out for the local
famous rustic coated ‘Henson’ horses and observe the spectacular
herons, egrets and wild swans in flight.

Nausicaa
is a world class sea-life & marine environment centre in Boulogne.
It reflects the French fascination and concern about the marine
environment. Enjoy meeting ray-fish.
Visit the tropical lagoon where sharks bask in the clear water and
watch the sealions dive in the waves.

Relax and delight in the beautiful
scenery along the
coastline. Offering
long, secluded beaches it is an ideal place to take a leisurely
stroll or a swim. What better way to make the day complete than by
enjoying a traditional picnic of local cheeses, hams and baguettes. |
